Here a couple things you can do this week at home to help your child begin to understand that God was involved in Moses' life and that God is also involved in their life.
- Make a date with your child and get out all the pictures you have of them. Look at the pictures with your child telling them their story - how you found out you were going to have them or how you found out you were chosen to be their parents, share what you felt when you knew you were going to be a mom or a dad, show them your favorite picture of them and why, share with them about the first time they fell or got hurt, the first time the walked or their first word.
- Find a book or go online and find pictures that trace the development of a child inside the womb. See if you and your child can find the hands and feet, the head, the toes, etc. Talk about how a child grows inside a mother, what the baby can feel and hear and sense.
- Read Psalm 139 with your child. Depending on the age of your child and their attention span you may want to break this down in parts. Discuss with your child how God is always with them and knows all about them. He was involved in their creation; He formed them and knew who they were even before their mother did. Read Matthew 10:29-31 to your child. God knows how many hairs are on their head; how much God must love each and every one of us!
