Here's what we are learning in the Tool Shed this weekend:

Bible Story: David and Jonathan - 1 Samuel 18:1-16; 19:1-7; 20:1-42
Main Point: God Gives Me Friends
Memory Verse: Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven. Matthew 5:16

Don't forget to pick up your Family Devotional (on the red table). Each devotional comes with some fun activities you can do at home to help your child bring the Bible story and Main Point home each week.

Are you not sure you know the story? Aren't sure yourself how to tell the story? That's not a problem. Each Family Devotional comes with a comic strip on the back that helps you tell the story to your child and ask questions to review with them (and the answers are included!)


Sneak Peek in this week's Family Devotional:

• Pop some popcorn and see what your child's favorite movie has to do with our Bible Story.
• Invite a friend and find out how different tag or hide and seek would be without them.

Memory Verse

Our Memory Verse (07/18 - 08/16) is:

Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

We are learning that just like God made David special and knew him, God made us and knows us. He loves us and has given us friends. We can do what we say we will do and show kindness even when others are mean because of this love God has given us. We can show others how awesome our Father is and how much He loves them, made them, knows them and will help them too.

Ten Hut

We are into Week 3 of our new series, Ten Hut. We are learning all about David andh ow we can live like David did - a man (or woman) after God's own heart.
